As part of Tyza Stewart’s month-long residency in The Green Room, a series of open studio days offer a chance to view the artist’s process and progress throughout the project as the work evolves. Tyza Stewart completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) from Queensland College of Art in 2012. In 2013, the artist’s solo show Will You Come curated by Joel Mu was presented at 55 Sydenham Rd Marrickville NSW 2204 AU, and the publication Tyzatyzatyza was released. In 2014, Stewart undertook a four-week residency at Boxcopy, presenting Dense Plant Scenes centred on a video profile of the artist’s practice. Stewart’s work has been shown at The Hold Art Space, WitchMeat ARI, Griffith University Art Gallery, Redcliffe Art Gallery, Pseudo Space, and was included in BEAF 2013 and GOMA Q: Contemporary Queensland Art (2015). Stewart is represented by Heiser Gallery, Brisbane.
