Green Screen Open Call News

Green Screen Open Call

21 September 2017

Building on the success of last year’s Green Screen program, the IMA is once again submissions for moving image works with a connection to Queensland.

Developed in collaboration with Queensland Film Festival, last year’s program saw the production of Caitlin Franzmann’s The Foundry, the presentation of Judy Watson’s the names of places, and highlighted rarely seen works by seven local artists through our Queensland Shorts program.

Applications for Green Screen will be open from 28 August to midnight 30 September. Eligible works include video art, short film, performative screenings, video installations, and more. We are interested in seeing existing works or/and proposals for new screen based projects.

The Institute of Modern Art acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land upon which the IMA now stands, the Jagera, Yuggera, Yugarapul, and Turrbal people. We offer our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first artists of this country. In the spirit of allyship, the IMA will continue to work with First Nations people to celebrate, support, and present their immense past, present, and future contribution to artistic practice and cultural expression.
