The Churchie Emerging Art Prize is open to emerging artists from across Australia working in any visual art medium. Presented at the IMA since 2019, this annual prize surveys the compelling and diverse work being produced by early-career artists today.

The 2022 finalists are Darcey Bella Arnold, Emma Buswell, Jo Chew, Kevin Diallo, Norton Fredericks, Jan Gunjaka Griffiths, Jacquie Meng, Daniel Sherington, Linda Sok, Lillian Whitaker, Agus Wijaya, and Emmaline Zanelli. The 2022 exhibition is curated by Elena Dias-Jayasinha, an emerging Sri Lankan-Australian curator and art historian based in Brisbane.
