Join us at the IMA Gallery Shop after hours for the exclusive launch of jeweller Bianca Mavrick’s latest collection, Bel Air.

Bianca creates pieces in her signature style using abstracted motifs and clever combinations of colour, materials, and industrial-surface finishes. This collection draws inspiration from private-residences-turned-art-galleries; museums of perfectly curated and curious objects.

Materials like matte rubber coated surfaces are contrasted with high-shine 18 karat gold plated metal and glossy Italian cellulose plastics. No two pieces are the same. Minimalist silhouettes are combined with maximalist detail elements, resulting in playful statement pieces that translate perfectly into everyday wear.

Join us for a festive night of champagne and nibbles and be in the running to win a $500 jewellery wardrobe.

  • Bianca Mavrick

Bianca Mavrick is a Brisbane-based contemporary jeweller with a Bachelor of Fine Art (Jewellery and Small Objects). She pits artisanal processes against industrial fabrication, resolving the two through handmade techniques that combine the precision of fine craftsmanship, while expressing a distinct maker’s mark. Offbeat colour combinations and graphic motifs are her calling card, expressed through her signature materials of colour-coated and precious metals, stones, and plastics. Mavrick’s work has been exhibited and stocked across gallery and design stores in Australia and internationally. Her work can be found at the IMA Gallery Shop, GoMA Store, the Museum of Brisbane Shop, and the NGV Design Store.
