We have reached out to our favourite Brisbane designers to bring you their latest collections direct from the studio to our Gallery Shop.

This is your chance to be the first to pick up limited edition, one-off, and capsule collection designs by Bianca Mavrick Jewellery, Gumnut, Homejob, Kaomoji, Kirralee + Co, Paula Dunlop, and Rachel Burke. Meet the designers to hear more about their handcrafted processes and receive one-on-one styling advice. This special festive season edition of After Hours features feel-good tunes by our DJ Madgif and delicious food and drinks will be available thanks to our friends Yes, Joy, Newstead Brewery, Madfish Wines, and Splitrock/Tiro.

Don’t miss your chance to take home handmade ceramics, homewares, jewellery, accessories, and gifts rarely made available in-store.

Designer bios:
Bianca Mavrick is a Brisbane-based contemporary jeweller whose signature offbeat colour combinations and graphic motifs have made her pieces sought after here in her hometown and across the globe.

Homejob (ceramicist and designer Wendy Ma and and visual artist Emika Kazama) create handmade pieces with an experimental and sustainable ethos. Their new collection, Forever Cowgirl, sees the duo transforming second-hand, deadstock and discarded materials into a one-of-a-kind capsule collection.

Kaomoji designer Wendy Ma has crafted a range of ceramic minimalist earrings, plates and vessels alongside a collection of miniature ceramic dogs, Dog breeder: a playful homage to canine friends.

Gumnut, by emerging designer Iris Hall, draws on the iconography of and humour of Australiana, creating garments and accessories from textiles featuring her own hand-drawn illustrations.

Kirralee & Co designer Kirralee Robinson, crafts homewares and jewellery from her woodworking studio using sustainable practices, with an earthy, minimalist aesthetic.

Paula Dunlop is an Australian artist, designer and maker. A former dressmaker, she works across both art and fashion, drawing from embroidery, weaving and garment-making practices to create objects and jewellery with needle and thread. Her work has been shown throughout Australia, and, most recently, in Hong Kong and New York City.

Rachel Burke is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and stylist based in Brisbane. Known for her vibrant, tactile designs and wild tinsel creations, her work has been acquired by performers and artists including Kesha, Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Show, The Office), Susie Bubble, Dannii Minogue, Kate Miller-Heidke, Justine Clarke, and Kim Chi (Ru Paul’s Drag Race).
