Activists Clare Land and Bogaine Spearim in conversation, presented in conjunction with our show Tom Nicholson: Drawings and Correspondence. This talk is a must for anyone interested in the complexities and responsibilities of activism.

Clare Land has been a non-Aboriginal supporter of Aboriginal struggles since 1998. Her 2015 book Decolonizing Solidarity: Dilemmas and Directions for Supporters of Indigenous Struggles is based on interviews with Aboriginal community members and non-Aboriginal activists, and what she learned through her activist work in southeastern Australia.

Bogaine Spearim (Kooma and Gamilaraay) is a member of Warriors of the Aboriginal Resistance and one of the hosts of Let’s Talk on 98.9FM.
